Veg Manchurian

One of the most famous, tasty & simple chinese food.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 1 cup chopped cauliflower
    • 1 cup grated cabbage
    • 1/2 cup grated carrot
    • 1 steamed potato
    • 1 chopped capsicum
    • 2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
    • 1 tsp chopped garlic flakes
    • pinch of ajinomoto (chinese  salt)
    • 1 tsp vinegar
    • 1 cup maida
    • 3 tsp corn starch
    • chilly sauce
    • tomato sauce
    • soya sauce
    • oil to fry


    1. Boil all vegetables except capsicum.remove water from it & take them in one bowl.
    2. Once get cool smash well all the vegetable. add ajinomoto, ginger-garlic paste, vinegar,maida, corn starch. mix all together & make a soft, thick dough of it.
    3. Make 15-18 balls of this  dough.
    4. Dip fry all the ball in oil.
    5. Heat another pan with 2 tsp oil, add ginger-garlic paste in it. then add few chopped garlic in it.
    6. Add 2 tsp of each sauce & capsicum. shallow fry it.
    7. dip all the fried balls in this gravy & serve it.

    Mrs. Martin, if I may butt in, I can see the usage of 'Maida/all purpose flour' mentioned in the second step. You have a great day.


    tasty dish however the gravy is very less also maida is not mentioned in the durection can u clarify


    Adding a potato won't make manchurian ,taste like tikki ?


    this recipe is very good. This recipe should be repeated on the show. rajama and black chick peas dal which has cream in it can that be repeated. Thankyou

    You can chop all the vegetables,add cornflour and make balls from it and fry it. It will save ur time also.
