Mash Potatoes Gravy

Potatoes in a mild spicy curry

This is one of my fav dish as it dam easy to cook and hardly takes any time. I love it the most when my mom cooks it for me. Its her recipe.

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings

    • 2 Big size boiled potatoes
    • 1 small onion sliced
    • 1 medium size tomato
    • 2 green chillies chopped
    • 1 tsp turmeric powder
    • 1 tsp red chilly powder
    • 1 tsp jeera powder
    • 1 tsp corriander powder
    • 1 tbs lime juice
    • 1 tsp garlic paste
    • A pinch of hing / asofoteda
    • salt
    • Corrainder leaves to garnish
    • water


    1. Heat oil and add in it sliced onions, cook for a min.
    2. Stir in it tomatoes chopped, chopped green chillies and add  all the masala including garlic paste and lime juice.
    3. Cook well till tomato turns juicy.
    4. Now add in it boiled mashed potatoes.....and water as per gravy consistency.
    5. The gravy shouldnt be too thick nor too thin.
    6. Cook well till all blends and the gravy comes to boils.
    7. lastly garnish with corriander leaves and serve hot with steam rice.
