Palak Puri

Traditionally we always had Puri on a festival day which was eaten with plain potato sabji but palak puri will add a new taste in a food by keeping traditional why not try this!!

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings

    • 1 cup bunch spinach
    • 2 cup wheat flour
    • 1 tsp cumin seeds
    • salt to taste
    • 1/2 tsp red chilly powder
    • pinch of turmeric powder
    • oil to fry


    1. Wash spinach, cut it & blend it in a thick mixture from blender.
    2. In one bowl,take wheat flour,add salt, cumin seeds, turmeric & red chilly powder. mix it well.
    3. Make a soft dough of it by adding spinach mixture in it.(this dough is totally green coloured) 
    4. Divide the dough in to 10-12 balls.
    5. Make the puri of all balls by rolling out it.
    6. Deep fry all the puri in oil on medium heat.
    7. Serve this puri with aaloo ki sabji, it gives excellent taste.




    Nice recipe we can also use beetroot with same recipe.


    I will be trying this, when it is rainy day next time.
