Nilgiri Mutton Korma

500gm mutton pieces
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp fennel seeds
1 finely chopped onion
7 green chillies(3 green chillies -slit lengthwise)
a sprig- curry leaves
3 cups - water
2 tsp refined oil
2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 cup tomato pieces
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp coriander powder
2 cups coriander leaves(chopped)
2 cups mint leaves (chopped)
1/2 cup coconut pasted with 2 tsp poppy seeds
1/2 tsp garam masala
2 tsp lemon juice
2 tsp salt
Prepare a green paste of green chillies, coriander leaves - 1 cup and mint leaves - 1 cup.
Prepare coconut paste of coconut grated - 1 cup and 2 tsp poppy seeds .
Heat oil in a pressure pan,put mustard seeds,fennel seeds, green chillies (3 no.s), curry leaves and saute for a min.
Add ginger garlic paste ,chopped tomato ,turmeric powder,dhania powder,mutton pieces one by one and saute for mins.
Then add salt , 1 cup of chopped coriander leaves ,1 cup of chopped mint leavesand 3 cups water and pressure cook upto 4 whistle.keep it aside.
After 10 mins ,add green paste of green chillies, coriander -mint leaves.
After 3 mins add coconut paste and cook for 2 more mins.
Add 1/4 tsp garam masala powder and lemon juice 2 tsp.
After a min turn off the flame.
Serve this hot with rice ,idli,dosa,chappathi,and parata.
