Shark Fillet fried with spices

Shark smells a lot. Hence many people avoid shark fillet fry.But this recipe resulted in a fillet fry that many won't believe its of shark and this is mouth-watering . Try and add your comments.

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings

    • 500 gm shark fillets(15 no.s)
    • 12  whole red chillies
    • 12 pepper corns
    • 1 tsp fennel seeds
    • 2 cm ginger piece
    • 4 garlic cloves
    • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
    • 2 tsp lemon juice
    • 2 tsp olive oil(or coconut oil)
    • 8 curry leaves
    • 2 tsp salt - to taste
    • 2 tbsp refined oil


    1. Grind all spices together except shark fillets and refined oil.
    2. Apply it on the fillets and in to a smooth paste marinate for 30 mins atleast.
    3. Heat refined oil in a kadai and shallow fry the shark fillets on both sides till golden brown in colour.
    4. Garnish with coriander leaves.
    5. Serve hot with rice and sambar.
