Egg Eazy Fry

Boiled egg fried with spices

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings

    • 5 nos Eggs (boiled,shells removes and cut into pieces)
    • 1 no chopped onions
    • 2 tsp any good sambar powder or any curry powder of your choice
    • 1 sprig curry leaves
    • 1 tsp mustard seeds
    • few chopped coriander leaves
    • 1/2 tsp garam masala
    • 1 tsp lemon juice
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1 tbsp refined oil


    1. Boil eggs for 5 mins and put them in cool water remove the shells and cut into pieces.
    2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan , add mustard seeds,curry leaves,chopped coriander leaves,chopped onions and saute them for a min.
    3. Add the egg pieces, 2 tsp sambar powder,1/2 tsp garam masala and 1 tsp salt and saute carefully so that the egg pieces should not get sticky for  2 mins.
    4. Add 1 tsp lemon juice on top.Turn off the flame.
    5. Serve hot with Rice or Curd rice.

    It's similar to Boiled egg Burji. i aslo use tomatoes it really taste great with that. nice recipe as usual and thank you for sharing.


    Little bit disappointed. I did this and for some reason it came out like egg curry. Yeah it tasted great but it did not look like a fry and not anywhere close to the picture you posted. Not sure what went wrong. I also did the eazy prawn masala and that was excellent.

    if you don't like the taste of sambar powder,just add chilli powder 1 tsp , cumin powder-1 tsp and other mentioned spices.very tasty side dish to go with rice and sambar or yoghurt or chapathis .
