Cashew (kaju) Barfi

Cashew powder cooked with sugar and khoya

Easy to do ,requires 30 mins atleast.very tasty.

Ingredients vegetarian 6 servings


    • 1 cup or 200 gm cashewnuts
    • 2 cups or 500 gm sugar
    • 2 tsp green cardamom powder
    • 2 cups or 500gm grated khoya
    • 25 cm length silver foil (optional)

    Directions

    1. Grind the cashews with grated khoya and sugar to a fine powder.
    2. Heat the ground powder in a non-stick pan pan, stirring continuously.
    3. Once the sugar dissolves, add the green cadamom powder and Stir continuously till it does not stick to sides.
    4. Roll on a flat bottomed tray to desired thickness and apply silver foil over it.
    5. Serve hot or chilled.
