Chicken stuffed Paniyaram

Ingredients non vegetarian 6 servings

    For the chicken stuffings:

    • 200 gms minced Chicken
    • 1 tsp Ginger-garlic paste
    • 1 tsp Chilli powder
    • 1 tsp garam masala powder
    • 1 tsp coriander and mint leaves paste
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1 tbsp oil

    for the paniyaram:

    • 2 cups appam batter (1/2 cup raw rice,1/4 cup urad dhal, 1 tsp fenugreek seeds, Soak raw rice, urad dhal and fenufreek seeds and grind them using 1 cup coconut milk and 1 tsp salt)
    • 1/2 cup maida flour
    • 1 egg beaten
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 3 tbsp refined oil




    1. Heat oil in a frying pan,saute the minced chicken with ginger-garlic paste,chilli powder,garam masala , coriander-mint leaves and salt for 5 mins.let it cool.
    2. Roll them into 1 1/2 cm sized balls.
    3. Prepare paniyaram dough by mixing appam batter with maida flour and salt.
    4. Beat the egg and keep it aside.
    5. Heat 3 tbsp oil in a pan,dip the chicken balls int he appam flour then,dip them in beaten-egg mixture and shallow fry them on both sides till golden brown.
    6. Serve these chicken stuffed paniyaram with tomato ketchup.
