Palak Pineapple Curry

Palak and Pineapple cooked in spices

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 2 cups palak-chopped finely
    • 1 cup pineapple small pieces
    • 3 green chillies-slit lengthwise
    • 1 tsp cumin seeds
    • 1 tsp gram dhal
    • 1 tbsp chopped onions
    • 1 tsp chilli powder
    • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
    • 1 tsp lemon juice(optional)
    • 1 1/2 tsp salt
    • 2 tsp refined oil

    Directions

    1. Heat oil in a pan, fry cumin seeds,gram dhal and onions till golden brown.
    2. Add chopped palak and pineapple pieces and saute for a min.
    3. Add turmeric powder,chilli powder ,salt and greenchillies and cook for 2 more mins adding 1/2 cup water.
    4. Add lemon juice and mix well .turn off the flame.
    5. Serve hot with rice or chappathis or idlis.
