traditionally made in South India,on Ram Navami

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 1 cup Grated Jaggery
    • 5 cups Water
    • 20 g Dry Ginger(Sont)
    • 2 Cardamom
    • 1/2 Lemon(optional)

    Directions

    1. Take water in a bowl and add Jaggery and dissolve it completely.
    2. Crush Sont & Cardamom in mortar pestle (Khalbatta), add it to the Jaggery water. U can use dry ginger powder but it will not give much got.
    3. After half an hour, filter them and If you want to squeeze lemon in panagam u can.
    4. Mix well and serve chilled or at room temperature

     

    Note: Organic jaggeries are available in pune and its very clean and good string is coming out while making sweets. It costs Rs. 30 per kg.
