Tondli Chi Bhaji (Kovakkai Podi Potta Curry)

onion can also be sliced lengthwise and added to this for more quantity.No need of adding water to this curry.It cooks soon as salt is coated in tondli.

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings


    • 2 cups Tondli
    • 2 tsp Chana dal
    • 3 tsp Dania
    • 3 Red chillis
    • Salt,to taste
    • 1/2 tsp haldi
    • 1/2 tsp hing
    • 1/2 tsp mustard
    • 1 tbsp Oil

    Directions

    1. Wash and cut tondli lengthwise.No need of removing head and tail portion.
    2. Mix tondli with salt.keep it for 5 -10 minutes.
    3. Roast in 1 tsp oil chana dal,Dania,Red chilli & hing.Allow it to cool for sometime.
    4. Grind them to a dry coarse powder.
    5. Heat oil,splutter mustard & add tondli and saute,keep the lid closed.
    6. Saute in between & cook till it becomes tender.
    7. It cooks soon as salt is already coated.
    8. Tondli chi bhaji is ready.Serve with rice,Phulka or chapatti.
