Vegetable Bread Crispies

Deep fried Crispies of Veg. and bread pieces.

Very tasty tea-time snack to try at home.

Ingredients vegetarian 10 servings


    • 4 bread slices-shredded
    • 1 small sized potato-boiled
    • 1 tbsp grated carrot(1/2 carrot)
    • 1 tbsp semolina(suji)
    • 1 tbsp maida flour
    • 1 tbsp chopped onions
    • 1`tbsp chopped tomatoes
    • 2 tsp grated cabbage
    • 1 tbsp grated cheese
    • 2 tsp corn flour- paste with 1/4 cup water
    • 1 tsp chilli powder
    • 1/2 tsp pepper powder
    • 1 tsp salt(or needed salt)
    • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
    • few chopped curry leaves
    • 1/2 cup refined oil
    • 1/2 cup water

    Directions

    1. Mash the boiled potato(remove the skin) coarsely.
    2. Add the chopped onions,chopped tomatoes,grated carrot,grated cabbage,grated cheese,chilli powder,pepper powder,salt,turmeric powder and chopped curry leaves and mix well.
    3. Add suji and maida with 1/2 cup water and mix well.
    4. Add the shredded bread slices and mix well.Shape the mixed dough mixture into round balls or triangles.
    5. Heat oil in a pan.Dip each veg-bread balls in cornflour paste and shallow fry the crispies till golden brown on both sides.
    6. Serve these crispies with tomato sauce and tea or coffee.
