Spicy Lamb-Brain Masala

An easy to do dish in 12 mins time using Microwave-Oven. Mix the given ingredients, set the time and forget this till lunch time.Try this at home and enjoy

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings


    • 2 lamb brains- cut into cubes
    • 2 tsp refined oil
    • 1 ½ tsp salt - to taste
    • chopped coriander leaves and curry leaves
    • 1 big onion - sliced finely
    • 1 ¼ tsp chilli powder
    • 1 tsp freshly ground pepper powder
    • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
    • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
    • 1 tsp lemon juice
    • 2 tsp ground spices -(1 small-sambar onion,1 tsp Cumin seeds and 2 cinnamon sticks-medium size)
    • 1 tsp ginger- garlic paste
    • 1 cup water

    Directions

    1. Take a microwave bowl, mix all the ingredients and microwave this on high for 12 mins.
    2. Spicy Lamb-brain Masala is ready to be served.
    3. Serve it hot with rice or chapathi,idli or dosa.

    This was tasty. I find that plunging the brains into hot water for a few minutes makes it easier to remove the covering membranes, the brains also solidify so can be cut or gently broken into pcs. I dont have a microwave, so prepare it on the stove top in a nonstick pan. Thanks.
