Easy to make. Excellent starter or Hors D'ouvres

Ingredients non vegetarian 6 servings

  • 1 kg Meat, mutton or chicken cut in small cubes
  • 2 tbsps. Ginger/Garlic paste
  • 1½ tbsps. Red Chili Powder
  • ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp All spice powder
  • 2 nos. Potato
  • 2 nos. Egg
  • ½ cup Bread Crumbs
  • Salt to taste
  • Vegetable Oil for frying

Directions

  1. Boil the meat with the ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, salt, garam masala, haldi and cook till its dry and tender. Let it cool.
  2. Boil two big potatoes and cut them into small cubes.
  3. Take a tooth pick and on it first put a cube of potato, then alternate meat and potato pieces twice more. Prepare all the sticks and set aside.
  4. Heat enough oil in a Karai to deep fry. In a bowl beat 2 eggs with a little of salt and pinch of red chilli powder.
  5. Now dip each stick first in bread crumbs then in the eggs and deep fry till golden brown.
  6. Serve hot with ketchup or chutney

You can also use paneer or prawns instead of meat, just lightly fry the paneer or prans marinated in the same masala.
