Stromobli

Recipe by rabz of Dhaka, BD

This is kind of an Italian bread and can be filled with your desired filling. This one is a vegetarian one for veggie lovers.

Ingredients vegetarian 6 servings


    For dough: plz refer to my Basic dough recipe.


    Filling:

    • 1 tbsp butter
    • 1 tbsp flour
    • 1/4 cup milk
    • 1 cup steamed spinach
    • 1/2 cup  sliced  can mushroom
    • 1 diced onion
    • 1/2 cup cubed red bell pepper
    • 1/4 cup feta cheese
    • salt & pepper adjust to ur taste
    • 1 cup mozzarella
    • 1/2 tsp Dried Oregano
    • 2 tbsp yoghurt

    Directions

    1. In a sauce pan combine butter, flour & milk. 
    2. Put it over heat & cook stirring slowly until it thickens & a white sauce is formed.
    3. Remove from heat & allow it to cool.
    4. Combine this with spinach, mushrooms, onion, bell pepper,feta cheese, salt & pepper 
    5. Roll out the dough in a rectangular shape.
    6. Leaving an inch from each side, spread the spinach on the dough.
    7. sprinkle with mozzarella & Oregano on top.
    8. Whip the yoghurt & brush a little on the sides of the dough, then fold the dough to give it an oblong shape. 
    9. Brush the rest of the yoghurt on top of the dough & bake it in a pre heated oven for 30 min (approx) or until golden from all sides.
    10. Remove from the  oven & allow it to cool slightly, then cut it into thick slices & serve with your choice of dip or salad.

    Hi Divya, It depends wat type of oven your using I bake mine in a moderate oven 300deg (approx).Hope that helps.

    It is actually called "STROMBOLI" not stromobli sorry 4 the mistyping.
