Baby Potato Fry

Baby potatoes shallow fried with spices

Very tasty and quick side dish for rice with Dalcurry or Sambar or Curd rice.Can be done in 15 mins time. Try this at home and enjoy the dish.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 12 baby potatoes
    • 1 tsp chilli flakes
    • 1/2 tsp crushed jeera
    • 1/4 tsp chilli powder
    • 1/4 tsp fresh pepper powder
    • 1/2 tsp garam masala or curry masala
    • 1/2 tsp mutton masala
    • 1 tsp besan flour
    • 1 1/4 tsp salt
    • few curry and coriander leaves
    • 1/2 tsp lemon juice(optional)
    • 5 tsp refined oil


    1. Wash the potatoes clan.Take a microwave bowl and add 600ml water.Put the baby potatoes and microwave this on high for 6-7 mins (till half-cooked).
    2. Take the bowl out and allow this to cool.Peel off the skin and prick the potatoes with a fork.
    3. Mix all the spices except oil and apply this to the baby potatoes.
    4. Heat oil in a kadai and shallow fry these potatoes in oil till golden brown.
    5. Serve this hot with rice with Dal curry or Sambar or Curd rice.
