Coconut Sweet Balls(Laddu)

Laddu made with mawa and fresh grated coconut

This one is easy to do using microwave oven.This needs abt 12 mins cooking time only.U can add dry fruits(finely chopped),grated paneer,crushed bread slices or chopped dates to this laddu for variation.Try this at home.

Ingredients vegetarian 6 servings

    • 3/4 cup mawa
    • 1 cup grated coconut
    • 1/2 cup dry coconut powder
    • 125gm sugar(powdered)
    • 1 tsp cardamom powder
    • 15 chopped almonds(soaked and peeled first)
    • 10 chopped cashews(ghee-roasted)
    • 10 chopped kismis
    • 3 tbsp ghee
    • 1 tsp vanilla essence
    • 1/4 tsp kesari yellow or red colour(optional)


    1. Take a microwave bowl and add 2 tbsp ghee + mawa and mix well.Microwave this on high for 2 mins.
    2. Add sugar and cardamom powder,mix this well and microwave this on high for 5 mins.
    3. Add 1 tbsp ghee,grated coconut,dry coconut powder,kesari yellow colour (optional) and vanilla essence and mix well.Add chopped almonds,chopped cashews and chopped kismis and mix this well.Mix this well.Microwave this on high for 3-4 mins.Take the bowl out.(This should be thick enough to be shaped into balls when u let this cool).
    4. Allow this to cool and shape this into round balls and serve hot.
