Balti dishes are popular all over the India, this Balti Chicken is one of them!
Ingredients
non vegetarian 2 servings
1/2 kg chicken
1 cup curd
3 tsp oil
1 tsp lemon juice
salt to taste
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp chilly powder
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp garlic paste
2 medium sized onions, sliced
2 medium sized tomato, chopped
1 tsp garam masala
3 tsp chopped fresh coriander
2 green chillies, chopped
1 medium sized cinnamon stick
2 black cardamom
5-6 black peppers
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 bay leaf
Directions
Wash chicken pieces, remove extra fat, trim it & keep aside.
Heat a pan with oil, add bay leaf then add onions, once golden brown in color add tomato, stir well.
Add cinnamon stick, cardamom, peppers, cumin seeds, garam masala, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, salt, chilly powder,mix all ingredients well, reduce heat & cook it for 5 min.
Add chicken pieces, stir fry, once the spicy mixture penetrates in to the chicken pieces(it will takes 5-7min) add curd to the chicken,mix it properly.
Cover the pan, let the chicken cook about 15 min.
When cooked add lemon juice,garnish with green chillies & fresh coriander & than serve.
