Bittergourd Tomato Stir Fry

A bitter and sour combination

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 1 Bittergourd, chopped
    • 1 tomato, chopped
    • 1 onion, chopped
    • 1 sprig of curry leaves
    • some coriander leaves (chopped)
    • 1 tsp chilli powder
    • 1/2 tsp garam masala
    • 1/4 tsp fennel seed powder
    • salt- to taste
    • 2 tsp refined oil


    1. Heat oil in a pan .saute chopped onions , chopped tomatoes,curry leaves ,then coriander leaves and saute for a min.
    2. When tomato pieces melt ,add bittergourd pieces and spices(chilli powde  fennel seed powder) and saute till bittergourd is 3/4th cooked.
    3. Add garam masala powder now and mix well.Turn off the flame.
    4. Serve it with rice and main dish.
