A famous North Indian Chicken Preparation to try at home.
non vegetarian 4 servings
1/2 kg Chicken pieces
1 big onion-chopped
1 big onion-pasted
1/2 tomato -choppedfine
1 tsp fresh ginger-garlic paste
1 tbsp cashew paste
few chopped coriander leaves
4 green chillies-slit lengthwise
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
1 tsp chicken masala powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 1/2 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp shajeera (black cumin seeds)
1/2 tsp jeera powder
1 tbsp dried kasur methi
1 each cinnamon stick,clove,green cardamom
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp refined oil
3 tbsp water
Take a Microwave bowl,add oil,cinnamon stick,clove,cardamom,onion slices and microwave on high for 2 mins.
Add onion paste, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, jeera powder, shajeera, garam masala powder or chicken masala,few coriander leaves,chopped tomato pieces and water.Mix well and microwave this on high for 3 mins.
Add chicken pieces, kasur methi leaves,salt and 1/2 cup water and mix well.Microwave this on high for 10 mins.
Take the bowl out and add cashew paste, 1/4 cup cashew paste washed water,green chillies(slit),sliced tomato pieces and the remaining coriander leaves.Mix this well and microwave this on medium for 10 or more mins till water runs dry.
