Bajra Roti (Kambu Roti)

If u r not able to pat with the palm please smear oil inside ziplock cover & keep the ball & roll it with rolling pin to round shape.

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings


    • 1 cup Bajra flour (Millet/kambu)
    • 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
    • 1 onion, chopped
    • 1 green chilli finely chopped
    • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
    • 1 tbsp ghee
    • salt,to taste
    • water as needed

    Directions

    1. Mix Bajra flour, wheat flour, salt, chopped green chilli,red chilli powder with water.Please add water little by little.Knead the dough for more time.The dough should not be stiff or soft.
    2. Divide the dough into 5 equal balls.Sprinkle some flour on the platform& place the ball.Pat it with your palm. u should comfortably roll it.dust the bajra flour again and make it to sound shape like roti of medium size not very thin.
    3. Preheat the tawa and place the roti and sprinkle water on it.
    4. When one side is cooked,keep the other side on direct flame.It will take some time to cook.It will puff.
    5. Bhajra roti is ready.Apply ghee.
    6. Serve hot with garlic chutney or dal or baingan bartha.
