Lamb Chop Masala

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings


    3 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste 6-8 lamb chops from the ribs, remove all extra fat 1 Cup diced tomatoes 2 medium diced onions 1½ tsp red chilli powder 1 tbsp coriander powder 2 tsp cumin powder 4 green cardamoms 2 cinnamon sticks (2 inch) 1½ cup Yoghurt salt to taste 1 tsp ground roasted cumin seeds 1-2 tsps garam masala 3 tbsps lemon juice 2-3 tbsps chopped fresh green coriander

    Directions

    Heat oil in a pan. Add the cardamom and the cinnamon. Add the onions and fry till brown. Add ginger garlic paste, coriander, cumin, red chilli powder, a little water and fry. Add the lamb chops and fry on high heat for about 5 minutes. Add tomatoes, Yoghurt and salt. Turn the heat to low, cover and simmer for 50 minutes or until the chops are almost cooked. Add roasted cumin seed powder and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes or until the meat is tender and the sauce is thick. Add garam masala and lemon juice and stir. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve.
