Chicken with thai basil

Basic flavored chicken

Ingredients non vegetarian 2 servings

    • 6 no. Green chilies(chopped finaly)
    • 8 oz. Mince chicken
    • 8 cloves Garlic(chopped)
    • 1 no. Red bell pepper (cut in matchstick)
    • 1 no. Green bell pepper ( cut in matchstick)
    • ½ tsp. Black pepper (optinal)
    • 1 tbsp. Oyster sauce
    • 1tbsp. fish sauce
    • ¼ tsp. Black soy sauce
    • 1 tsp. Brown sugar
    • ¼ cup vegetable oils
    • 1/3 cup Sweet basil leaves


    1. Pound green chili and garlic together.
    2. Heat oil in a wok or pan until hot and then add the chili-garlic mixture. Fry for a minute.
    3. Add chicken and stir fry for 3-4 minutes. Then add black pepper, oyster sauce, fish sauce, soy sauce, and sugar. Stir them well.
    4. Add red and green bell pepper. Stir fry for 2 minutes.
    5. Mix the basil and stir fry for a minute.
    6. Serve with sweet rice or regular.




    Chopped basil buises the texture and in my opinion also loses the punch somewhat. I'd just throw lots of tender basil leaves as it is instead of first chopping it.
