Besan Vada

Small dumplings made of besan.

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings


    • 1 cup besan.
    • 3 green chillies (finely chopped).
    • Salt.
    • 3 tbsps corriander leaves.
    • 1 onion finely chopped.
    • Oil deep frying.
    • ½ tsp Enos (fruit powder)
    • ½ tbsp dhania (whole)

    Directions

    Enos fruit powder is available everywhere for digestion relief. This has a side benefit of using as a quick leavening agent. 

    1. Take besan in dish, add salt, chillies, coriander leaves, dhania, and onions.
    2. Add water to make thick batter.
    3. Add Enos and mix properly.
    4. Take about 1 tbsp of this batter and  put in hot oil ,(the batter will puff up, if it doesn't then add more enos) that way put about 6 tbsps of batter to make small dumplings, fry on medium heat (if you put more oil then you can fry more dumplings at a time)till golden brown.
    5. Serve hot with coconut chutney.
