Pasta in white sauce

Creamy pasta beast served with garlic bread

Ingredients non vegetarian 2 servings


    • 1 cup pasta/penne/ fetuccine
    • 1 tbsp maida
    • 1 tbsp butter (yellow-salted)
    • 1 cup milk
    • shredded cheese
    • sal to taste
    • white pepper
    • 1/2 cup mushrooms (cut into small pieces)
    • 1 tbsp each of choice of meat (bolied & shredded chicken, salami/ sausages cut into small pieces, ham etc.)
    • Oregano, basil & chilly flakes for garnishing

    Directions

    1. Boil pasta in a large open pan/ kadai with plenty of water
    2. Once done (should not be too soft), drain water & give a final rinse of cold water
    3. 3. spread out on a flat surface/ plate, ad one tsp of olive/ refined oil and separate.

    For Sauce:

    1. Heat a thick based pan
    2. Add butter, and maida, stir fry a little on low heat
    3. Slowly add milk while continuously stirring to avoid any lumps
    4. Once the mixture is a smooth paste, add salt, pepper, mushrooms, chicken, and mix well (do not cook for long as it will start to thicken)
    5. Turn off the heat & mix the boiled pasta into the sauce. You can add some water if the sauce become too thick
    6. Garnish with oregano & basil as per liking.
