Moongphali ki sabji

quick and easy recepie when there are no veggies around

Nice dish, can be had during fasting too.... and in routine tastes best with rice as well as aloo parathas.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 1 cup Moongphali (Peanuts), shelled
    • 1/2 cup Green Coriander leaves
    • 4-5 Green Chillies or as per taste
    • 1/2 cup Sour curd (if available) OR 1/2 tsp Amchur
    • 1/2 tsp jeera
    • 1/2 tsp rai/sarso daana
    • curry laves a handful
    • 3-4 dried red chillies
    • hing a pinch
    • salt to taste

    Directions

    1. roast the peanuts in hot kadahi for a few minutes, without any oil.
    2. let it cool and then remove the brown coat by rubbing.
    3. in the grinder add the moongphali, coriander leaves, green chillies and make a smooth paste out of it.
    4. in the end add the curd and mix well
    5. in a kadahi/wok add a table spoon of oil/ghee
    6. in warm oil add rai/mustard seeds, when they crackle add jeera, hing, whole red chiilies, and curry leaves.
    7. within 30 secs, add the ground mixture to the wok and add water to it till it is of dal consistency.
    8. if u were using amchur add it now. keep on stirring and once it it boils, add salt.
    9. cook for 10-12 mins and maintain dal consistency.
    10. serve hot.
