Fried fritters made from Rice & Urad dal

This dish is usually made in Kodugu.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 1 cup Soaked Raw Rice
    • 1 tsp soaked Methi seeds
    • 1/2 cup soaked Urad dal
    • 1/4 cup Milk
    • 1/2 cup Jaggery
    • 1 Banana
    • a pinch of Salt
    • Vegetable Oil for frying

    Directions

    1. Soak Rice, methi seeds & Urad dal for an hour. Grind them to a paste with Milk.
    2. Add Banana, salt & Jaggery to this mixture & grind again to Dosa batter consistency.
    3. eat Oil in a kadai. Add small scopes of the mixture & fry till golden brown. Serve hot with Coffee or tea.
