Clean the chicken very nicely and take out all the fat.
Now chop finely the onions. Heat the butter in a aluminum kadai, put the onions in this, take the garlic and make a paste with it.When the onions are golden brown add the garlic paste to it .
Now add the tomato puree to it,when it leaves the oil add the tomatoes to it. Tomatoes are to be blended in a mixer, once the tomatoes also leave the sides,add all the spices and saute it for sometime.
Now add the chicken to it and add very little water to it. When the chicken has become tender and the gravy is quite thick u can turn the gas off.
This chicken should be made on low heat only. It can be served with any type of indian roti
