Tandoori Masala

Spice mix for tandoori style cooking

Use this mix for any tandoori dish. Don't store the spice mixes for long time (more than a month). You will get perfect flavor from freshly ground spices. However, You can keep this for months if stored in an airtight container.

Ingredients vegetarian 10 servings

  • 4 tsps. Coriander Seeds
  • 3 tsps. Cumin Seeds
  • 4 tsps. Garlic, powder
  • 4 tsps. Red Chili Powder
  • 3 tsps. Dry Ginger, ground
  • 2 tsps. Dry Mango Powder
  • 1 tsp Mint, dry powder
  • 3 tsps. Food Color, dry, red
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder


  1. Mix all the ingredients together and dry grind them.
  2. Store in airtight containers.

I feel 3 tsp. of food colouring is too much since the colours (orange/yellow/red) are so strong. I suggest just 1/4 tsp or less would do for the quantity mentioned.
