Okra pieces fried with spices and gram flour.Very tasty tea-time snack recipe for u to try at home.
Ingredients
vegetarian 4 servings
20 Okra pieces of 1 1/2 inch size
For the batter:
1 1/2 cup Gram Flour
3/4 cup water
3 tsp ground masala (1 tsp cumin powder,a pinch asafoetida powder, 3 red chillies, few coriander leaves, 1 garlic pearl and 3 curry leaves )
2 tsp Salt
3/4 cup refined oil
Directions
Mix the gram flour with ground masala,salt and 3/4 cup water.
Add salt and mix well so that no lumps should form.
Heat oil in the frying pan .Dip the Okra pieces in gram flour batter and shallow fry them on both sides till golden brown. Similarly make all the pakoras.
4.Hot and fresh Okra Pakoras are now ready to be served with tomato ketchup or coriander or Mint chutney.
