Small Arvi Roast

Small Arvi pieces roasted with spices

Small arvi is chepangkizhangu or colcassia.oval size arvi are normally good.Try this tasty roast at home and enjoy!.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 250 g Arvi (small taro roots)
    • 2 tsp chilli powder
    • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
    • a pinch of asafoetida powder
    • few curry leaves
    • 2 tbsp refined oil
    • 1 1/2 tsp salt

    Directions

    1. Take a microwave bowl,add 500 ml water and arvi with skin. Microwave this for 10 mins on high.
    2. Take the bowl out and wash with cold water and peel of the skin.Cut each arvi into 4 pieces.
    3. Mix all the ingredients well and spread the spiced arvi on a grill tray and grill this for 10 mins on high.
    4. Serve this roast hot with rice and sambar.
